American Idol Grand Finale 2008

What a season it’s been. While the entertainment on Television has been fun and questions have been raised about the ratings, everyone running online sites has experienced great results. Yesterday, Idolblog.com had over 55,000 visitors with 20,745 of them coming to the site in the hour after the show aired in the East. This is dramatically up on last year so whatever the commentators may say about the future of American Idol, from an online perspective there is plenty of interest.
Enough of that though, join me for the live recap.

Happy Birthday Kevin Covais!

Everyone remembers Kevin Covais, from Levittown, New York, the eleventh place finalist from Season 5. Why? Because he was just the cutest little thing ever! So much so that his fellow contestant during that season, Paris Bennett dubbed him “Chicken Little”. And though Kevin was voted off that season, he has been an extremely busy man.

Not just content with being a member of the metropolitan Youth Chorale, the National Honor Society, and a spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association, he also co-starred alongside Drake Bell in the 2008 comedy, “College”, sang at the Disney World Holiday Concert in 2006, and just recently, he rapped on his friend and fellow Idol, Paris Bennett’s debut cd, “Princess P”.

Though he hasn’t been signed yet, our old friend Kevin remains hopeful, saying, “Who knows, maybe something big will happen.” With all of this on his plate so far, we’re very sure it will!
