Top 5 Interviews and Carly’s Goodbye
April 25, 2008
Sure, we’ve all heard them sing, but have you really heard them talk much besides the bits and pieces they get in with the judges and Ryan? One of my (lucky) co-workers got to sit down with the Top 5 Idols and chat about this, that, and the other, and the Top 5 videos are up on the site. That link goes right to Brooke, but you can get to the others by clicking on their links as well. They are pretty entertaining, as Syesha talks about her hair and what she REALLY thinks of Simon, Brooke talks about her EMOTIONS, Jason talks about how he remains himself (Warning: It’s a short video, but is anyone surprised? He is a man of few words, that’s fo sho), David Cook talks about how he keeps it together despite what he’s got going on on behind the scenes, and David Archuleta chats about how his experience is different as the youngest Idol…check ‘em out!

Also, we just posted this article on my phone exit interview with Carly, and, I must say, of all the Idols, she really shed the most light on the whole experience…some interesting tidbits…she named Amanda Overmyer as her fave of the season (Go Maggie!), she worked at the same bar as Michael Johns in Atlanta, and she has an interesting theory about the guys this season. As you’ll see in the article, she says that she thinks the guys have really charmed the women viewers this season, and she thinks it’s been more of a struggle for the female Idols to do the same. What say you on this theory? Regardless of what you think, it’s pretty cool that she speaks her mind the way she does.
Have a wonderful weekend, all!

A Look and Listen at Andrew Lloyd Webber Night
April 23, 2008
Have you had time to think about your favorite performance from last night’s Andrew Lloyd Webber-themed American Idol?
While we felt terrible for Brooke White after she forgot the lyrics to “You Must Love Me,” the lasting impression from the evening was Syesha Mercado showing personality - and sexiness - with her rendition of “Rock n Roll Too Many.” Check it out:
